3 Ways To Detox Stress And Regain Control Of Your Life

May 29, 2017

Are you stressed? Stress is an everyday part of life. Today, people face more stress than ever before. A busy life, a demanding career, bills, responsibilities, not having enough time for everything, deadlines, projects, personal life, these are all sources of pressure and problems that can make anyone so stressed.

Are these factors, causing stress going to stop? No! However, you can do something that could make you happy with life without being stressed. The fact that you’re in control of your life is the basis of the solution.

Stress management is the key to regain control of your life. You’re in-charged of your life and even stress. It’s your responsibility to manage everything: time, responsibilities, goals, assignments, job, money and relationships to avoid stress.
Stress Management is The Key To A Healthy Well-Being

Too much stress can out your well-being in danger. Stress could destabilize your emotional, physical, mental and social aspects. It hinders your mental capability, affects your skills, and your  chance to have a happy life.

If you have been searching ways to escape your busy life or to sleep longer hours, you are probably stressed! With effective stress management, you could enjoy your life  and become more successful, and productive.

When you know how to manage everything, you would have enough time for everything: relationships, work, family, fun and relaxation. It is not only learning to manage these things, but you’ll also learn how to be resilient with pressures and problems.

Although you’re too pressured right now, there are strategies that you can take to relieve stress and regain control of your life.

1. Know where your stress is coming from.

Identifying the causes of your stress is a tricky task. It’s easy to say that you know where your stress is originating. You can pinpoint that it’s your boss, your job, divorce or kids that are giving you stress. However, you should also examine yourself, whether it’s your attitude, emotions, or thoughts are the one adding up to your stress levels. Are you sure it is your job that is making you stressed, or it is your procrastination?

The simple key here is to evaluate your thoughts, habits, excuses and behavior. Be true to yourself. Accept it that maybe it’s your behavior or thinking that is causing you stress. Until you accept the responsibility, your stress level would remain out of your control.

2. Learn the 4A’s: Avoid, Alter, Adapt and Accept

Some stress in your life is predictable. The strategy here is to change how you react to it or change the condition. It would be helpful if you would apply the 4A’s: avoid, alter, adapt and accept.

Avoid all needless stress in your life: people that is making you upset and stressed, or the  situations that are leaving you with no choice.  When you can’t avoid the situation, change how you react, or how you respond.

Next, if you can’t alter the one that is causing you stress, adapt to it by changing your attitude and expectations. Let’s say, change your perspective. Instead of getting stressed on traffic, you could just turn on your radio and listen to music.

Lastly, there are things that you could never change. The only way you can adjust to these stressors, such as a divorce, or a death of your family member is to accept it. Although accepting is difficult, not accepting is even harder in the long run.

3. Substitute the unhealthy coping mechanisms to healthy ones.

Are you aware how you’re managing your stress? Are you turning to unhealthy ways to cope with it, such as smoking, binge eating, alcohol drinking, using drugs or sleeping too much? There are a lot of negative ways to cope with stress, but the more you do this, the more you would cling on stress. Find healthy techniques to manage your stress. You have to experiment and find out what really works for you.

Turning 30... and the clock back!

May 23, 2017

I'm back!

...And I'm 30!

Everyone else seems more concerned about this fact than I am/was... I'd be happy to share my thoughts on this subject in another post if you'd like me to?

I decided that the best way to celebrate a 'big' birthday was a month long series of celebrations (I know... who do I think I am?!) and one of those was an eighties themed night with my best friends at a local hotel. (Born in the Eighties, you see?)

I went with fairly low expectations... at £20 a head for a three course meal plus DJ I didn't expect top quality but that was exactly what we got. That plus a very fun, carefree and happy atmosphere.

All my friends happily joined in with the 80s theme (it is a pretty easy one to do, I think) and we danced the night away to some of the best (and worst!) that the decade-that-taste-forgot had to offer. It was incredible and I loved every second.

If you'd like to see how I achieved my 'glam girl 80s look' then please check out my video...

It's Time For Bed... Goodnight All Natural Aspirations

September 18, 2016

It's like I've been at a really cool party and I've LOVED it.

I've met some amazing people and had such a fun time but... It's past my bedtime now and I am tired. I want to go home, be on my own and get some rest. Do I slip out quietly or do I 'announce' my departure? I feel like I need to say goodbye otherwise it would be rude.

I have been working on my blog and channel for three years. In that time I have consistently uploaded at least one video a week, every week pretty much without fail. I think I have 'missed' two weeks worth of videos in that whole time.

I love my channel, I love my blog, I love the people I have met through the years but something just doesn't feel the same anymore.

I don't know if it is the fact that the community doesn't feel as united any more, if it's the fact that I'm working full time, if it's that All Natural Aspirations has simply ran it's natural course or if it is a combination of all those things. But... I just don't have the motivation anymore.

For now and for the foreseeable future I'm saying 'farewell' to All Natural Aspirations. My heart just isn't in it anymore unfortunately.

If you'd like to watch my last video in which I discuss it a bit more please click here.
