Natural Solutions for Smelly Shoes!

July 14, 2017

Smelly shoes??

Let's be honest it's something we all suffer from whether it is all the time, once in a while or just because a significant other has smelly feet!

I have some DIY Options for you and a product to fall back on if you'd prefer. I personally think the spray works best but you can decide for yourself...

I'll summarise below but the full details and demos are on my video, here.

DIY Option 1:

Pop a tea bag into each shoe.

Pro's: Cheap, easy and fairly mess free

Con's: Not hugely effective, can be messy if the tea bag breaks (which it did... in my work bag!)

DIY Option 2:

A mixture of white vinegar and water. (1 part water to 1 part vinegar)

Pro's: Inexpensive and fairly effective.

Con's: Very 'wet' and not suitable for quite a few types of shoes.

Product Option:

The Lumi Outdoors All Natural Extra Strength odour eliminator. (click here to buy)

Pro's: Very effective, easy to use, nice scent that isn't overpowering.

Con's: Could be expensive if buying from outside of the US.

Do you have your own smelly shoe solutions? Please share them with me!

Rio Rosa Hand Cream & Facial Oil - Review

July 07, 2017

I've been away (from the blog and YouTube) for a couple of weeks but that is because I have been busily testing out some really great products that I am excited to share with you!

First up are a hand cream and facial oil from new to me brand, Rio Rosa.

I was excited to try out their hand cream, especially as it retails at just £6.95 for a generous 50ml.

It has a lovely soft scent and I was delighted to discover that it soaks in quickly... this is a 'must have' feature for me in a hand cream... I'm busy, people!

Next up is the Rosehip oil based facial oil blend.

"...[The Rio Rosa] antioxidant facial oil helps to replenish the skin’s natural defense against urban living, including air pollution, harsh weather conditions, dehydrating air conditioning and hectic lifestyles. It has a refreshing, uplifting scent from essential oils lavender and rose geranium."

Again, I really enjoyed using this product. It soaked in quickly, meaning I could use it in the morning before applying make up. I loved the packaging... the glass bottle and the chrome effect lid add a sense of luxury and the push down top is a lovely addition that sets the product apart from others I have tried.

Again, this has a very reasonable price point at only £24.99 for 30ml

If you'd like to find out more I have included links in this post and there are demos in my YouTube video which you can watch by clicking here.

Until next time...
