Haul - Lily Lolo, Beauty Without Cruelty, 100% Pure, Eco Tools, Vanessa's Choice & Honey Pie Minerals

February 22, 2014

Sooo... I've been shopping!

You can watch my haul video here

Everything I bought was either reduced or very reasonably priced. I bought these things spread out over a few weeks.

Here's what I got and where I got it from:

Vanessa's Choice:

Skin blossom Organic Shampoo - haven't tried this yet, this is part of my ongoing search for a good natural shampoo that doesn't cost a fortune.

Laid Bare spot the difference spot treatment - this seems to work well but I'm not convinced it's a wonder treatment. Nice to use and seems effective, will report more later!

Boots:

EcoTools - picked up some eye shadow brushes as I am in serious need!

Beautifully Organic:

Zao Organic Structuring Mascara, Zao Organic Liquid Eye Liner, Zao Organic Volume and Sheathing Mascara, Zao Organic Matt lipstick (dark red) tester size - All these were trial price but full size products! Too good an opportunity to miss, plus I want to try out lots of reasonably priced natural mascaras so I can feature them here!

100% Pure Cosmetics:

Naked Palette - I was so excited to try this brand, all their pigments are from fruits, how amazing... however, the products are a bit flaky and powdery, the eye shadows don't seem to show up at all. I love the lip creams, such a great formula although one of them is a perfect colour the other hardly shows up at all. Glad I bought this on sale at £18 instead of the full price of £28.50! So disappointed that it's not great...

**I have now returned this pallet, I believe it was possibly faulty**

Beauty Without Cruelty:

Smoky Eye Kit - this is an EXCELLENT kit, I also got this on sale for just £34.95. Everything in it is high quality, long lasting and super easy to use. I haven't tried the eye liner or mascara yet as I have one of each open already from different brands (Benecos and Lily Lolo) so I want to use them up first.

Lily Lolo:

Lip gloss, finishing powder sample, foundation sample, Cappuccino Duo, Rose Quad - I just had to go back to the sale and pick up a couple more bits! Happy with all of them, love them all!

Pule Wholefoods:

While picking up some foodie bits I also picked up this Dr Bronner's hand sanitiser, I saw this on a few other blogs so when it caught my eye I couldn't leave it there!

Honey Pie Minerals:

I saw this brand featured on www.sugarpuffish.blogspot.co.uk and went on over to check out their site. They are very reasonably priced so I picked upp some samples and a blush. I also got their illuminating powder as it was either that or pay postage!

Hope you've enjoyed this post, I certainly enjoyed shopping!

  3. Oh very nice haul! It's a shame you had to send back the 100% pure palette, it looked lovely (from the outside) hope you get something really nice instead. I can't live without Dr.Bronners hand sanitizer, I think it's my best purchase of all time haha ;) xx

    1. I really had my heart set on that palette :-( I wanted something that I could take on holiday along with mascara and concealer only so I could travel light... going to make my own instead I think :-)
I love the hand sanitiser, it smells lovely and stays on you for a little bit!

  5. You naughty lady! Now I want those things too but I will resist as I've just bought a dr Hauschka palette for £32 so I'll keep away from make up for a while. Plus I've just had an allergic reaction to Juice Veauty CC cream (of all things!) so I need to give my face a rest. I'd be interested in what you think of Lily Lolo's mascara. Unfortunately, I find it too clumpy. Also the BWC's products as it's from Suffolk (where I live) and I'd like to support them but I bought their eye liber pencils and I don't like them. They're too hard.

    2. Haha!!
Ooohh lucky you! I really want something from Dr Hauschka but it's just that bit too expensive for me to justify at the moment... although I've heard that they are great quality and worth every penny!! I've seen their palette and had my eye on it! Is it good?!
Which mascara do you mean sorry? you said Lily Lolo but I don't have that one, did you mean Zao or BWC? I've also tried two benecos ones as well... post coming up soon!
I am enjoying the BWC stuff, I haven't tried the eye liner yet, it is still wrapped up as I have my lily lolo one for now and don't want two open at the same time, will use LL for another few months then replace it when not hygienic any more.
      Rach xx

    3. Oops! I thought you'd said you had the Lily lolo mascara. The palette is really nice. I haven't tried it yet as as I only got it recently. The eye shadows are a good size and work out at £8 each as they're £32 for 4. That's how I justified buying it.

    1. Thanks :-) the Zao stuff is a little bit expensive for me when fully priced (it's not that expensive really, just I'm a cheap skate lol) but as I bought it as a full size sample it is amazing value! I really like the liquid eyeliner, I class myself as a bit of a make up beginner but I find it easy to use. I've just ordered some more sample size lipsticks from Zao... oops! lol xx
