Silver for Spots!

April 21, 2014

I wanted to tell you about a great discovery I made while in my local whole food/health food shop.

I was looking for something to replace Germolene/Savlon to apply to general scrapes, cuts and wounds. I wanted something safe and effective to use on my daughter... while browsing the store I stumbled across this silver spray.

I had heard of the anti-bacterial and healing qualities of silver before - I've seen a big brand name plaster with silver added in it to kill germs and promote healing.

When I was going through a rough patch with my skin I needed something to help me, tea tree just didn't seem to be cutting it. Then it dawned on me - Silver! What do you need to effectively treat a spot? You need to kill off the bacteria and try and heal the 'wound'.

So, if I get a bad spot that I want gone as quickly as possible I take a bit of silver, spray it onto a cotton bud (Q-tip) and then apply it to the spot morning and night. The silver works well - it combats the spots quickly and effectively.

Silver has no smell or colour to it, it is not sticky and it is just like putting water on your face. Therefore, it is fine to use under make up, etc.

I hope you've enjoyed this quick little tip - it was too good not to share!
