Green People Mascara - Review & Demo

June 21, 2014

You may have seen on my Instagram and in my more recent GRWM videos I have been using the Green People Organic Mascara.

Here is a link to my *review and demo video* if you'd like to see this in action.

I purchased mine from Naturismo for £11.75 on special offer (reduced by £3). I like to order it from there as it is often on special offer and they do free delivery. (I am such a sucker for that!)

I have lots of great things to tell you about the mascara but for some reason I can't put my finger on it just isn't quite 'it'. I feel like I am still looking for something else, I have the 100% pure mascara lined up to try next so we'll see how that goes!)

And some creepy eye pictures to try and show you the effect I get from it.

Before: (sorry, neither are quite in focus, silly camera!)

After two coats on the top with one on bottom lashes:

I look like I have a lazy eye but it is the camera angle... I hope! :-/

Pro's
Comes in either brown or black
Is reasonably affordable (but still over my £10 ideal figure)
Doesn't Flake
Doesn't smudge
Doesn't clump (if you are careful)
Easy to wear one light coat or build up for more dramatic look
Nice size/shaped wand that doesn't put product everywhere
Washes off easily
Doesn't leave your lashes feeling 'crusty'
Adds reasonable length, definition and volume
Over 15% organic ingredients
Over 98% natural ingredients
Boasts a conditioning formula that I believe works
Lasted well for me on holiday (it wasn't that hot but it was still a test)
Gets lots of positive reviews on the Naturismo website

Con's
Can clump if you get a bit carried away with too much product
It is over £10
Isn't hugely volumising or lengthening, nothing show stopping

Would I recommend it? Would I buy it again?

Yes, I think I would do both.

I can't tell you that this mascara will change your life for the better but I can tell you that it will go on nicely, stay where you put it and then wash off easily. For an everyday mascara you can't really say fairer than that.

I haven't re-purchased this yet as I want to try out the 100% Pure one first then see how I go.

What mascara do you use? Anything you'd like me to try and review? Anything you would suggest to me?

  2. Wow your eyelashes look amazing, I rely on mascara so much if I had to give up all make up but keep one thing it would be mascara haha this one looks really lengthening I quite like the look of it, I recently tried one by a brand called Sante that I wasn't impressed with, this one sounds worth a try :) xx

    1. I think it's worth a try as it is reliable (wears well) and isn't silly expensive but has good ingredients. I am not too reliant on mascara but I think I do look a lot better with it on!!! haha! xx
