Organic's At Home - Try Me Kit

October 24, 2014

Twitter is a wonderful place, isn't it? The absolutely lovely Jo reached out to me via twitter to see if I'd like to try out a Try Me Kit from her brand Organics At Home. (OAH)

"We pride ourselves on the fact that our products are pure, simple and honest."

After OAH passed the 3 step animal cruelty questions enthusiastically and with flying colours I was delighted to accept my Try Me Kit for Oily Skin.

I'll run through the kit piece by piece, from least to most favourite!

Toning Spritz

I found this was a very nice to use spray, unfortunately I just did not get on with the smell of it at all. I thought it left my skin feeling toned and it seemed very effective but I couldn't force myself to use up the sample. As smell is a personal thing you may not have an issue with it so don't let me put you off.

Moisture Light

This was a nice, light weight moisturiser that absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling soft. However... I am just not a moisturiser person, I just love oils too much. If I was to use a moisturiser then this would be a strong possibility.

Moisturising Serum

This beautiful serum smells divine and works wonderfully. This awesome blend features a magical combination of Organic Thistle Oil, Organic Kiwi Oil, Organic Evening Primrose Oil and Organic Rosehip Oil. I found it worked beautifully for me and I really enjoyed using it.

Orange Lip Balm

This fruity and creamy lip balm is a new favourite of mine... it has made it onto the bathroom shelf as my 'main' lip balm. This is a pretty big deal for me!

Clean and Polish

Yet another delicious and delightful smelling item from this awesome kit! This cleanser 'starts off as a custard and turns into a cream'. I really enjoyed using this, it smells lovely and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clear. This was a big winner for me.

Cleansing Oil

I've saved the best till last, the Cleansing Oil was my stand out product from all the other great bits in the kit. I really enjoyed the smell of this - it is mainly lavender and so it is lovely to use as part of a relaxing, wind down evening routine. The Apricot Oil, Castor Oil and Sunflower Oil all work really well together to leave your skin thoroughly cleansed but not stripped. This was my top pick... but don't take my word for it! You can try the kit yourself, currently reduced from £23 to £18 here.

If you haven't already you need to head over to the Organics at Home website and have look through their products. All items are hand blended and ingredients ethically sourced. The extensive list of different products cater for all skin types.
