Pacifica Mystical Palette

October 18, 2014

Today I'm bringing you a more detailed look at the Pacifica Mystical Eye Shadow Palette.

In addition to this written review, I also have a video you can watch here.

I purchased mine via Vanessa of Vanessa's Choice. We had been chatting about wanting to try Pacifica eyeshadows and lip products and Vanessa said she was considering stocking them. She very kindly placed an order with her supplier on my behalf and I rushed to buy the Mystical palette and a lip gloss.

At the moment Vanessa doesn't actually stock these particular products but she could source them on request and if there is enough demand she may start stocking them. You can email Vanessa for more details: vanessa@vanessaschoice.co.uk

I love the formula of this product, the shadows are so buttery and creamy. I didn't notice any powdery fall out at all and I found the shadows very long lasting. I class myself as having oily lids and not very many pressed shadows last on me, even with primer but this Pacifica shadows stayed put and looking lovely.

My one criticism is that the colours look completely different in the pan than they do swatched or on the eyes. Also, the colours don't mix and match particularly well, you couldn't take this palette on holiday with you and achieve a few different looks, it is quite limited in my opinion.

This is a pressed product so of course you can't expect the ingredients to be as pure or as mineral as loose shadows however I don't see anything too worrying in here:

Have you tried anything from Pacifica? What did you think?

  1. Thank you for this review! I've been tempted by Pacifica palettes, but I have enough eye makeup for now. I have oily lids as well, and you said the magic word "long lasting", so I'll give it a try once I use up some of my stash ;) Xx

  2. I really want to try Pacifica eye shadows, but I might pass on this particular one as the colors don't really appeal to me much!
