Restore Scrub - Bloom Remedies

October 28, 2014

You will all hopefully know by now that I am a huge fan of the multi award winning British brand Bloom Remedies. Run by the awesome Marie, one of the most outstandingly kind and hard working people I have ever had the pleasure to talk and interact with. Unfortunately I am yet to meet her in person but I hope to soon!

Anyway, I digress... onto the purpose of this post!

I had the immense pleasure of trying out the Restore blend of the Bloom Remedies Cornish Sea Salt Body Scrub*

This luxurious and moisturising scrub is like nothing I have tried before. Cornish salt, Dead Sea salt and an uplifting blend of essential oils are expertly mixed in, by hand, to whipped, Organic Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Coconut Oil.

Firstly, this scrub smells divine. Marie is an expert with her blends and this Restore scent is designed to 'restore a deplete body and mind' and:

Eucalyptus clears the mind and restores the airways, Tea Tree is a potent anti-bacterial as are the restorative immune boosters of Rosemary and Peppermint.  A beautiful, uplifting and energising blend.

This applies beautifully, I personally prefer to use it on dry skin. I massage it over my legs before getting into the shower to rinse it off. The texture is so rich and creamy you feel like you are putting on moisturiser not using a scrub!

I will say, if you generally like a 'scrubby' scrub then this one will not be what you are used to. Don't be fooled though, despite not feeling like it's 'doing' much my skin felt so soft, refreshed and renewed after use. It certainly does help remove dead skin, I suffered from a lot of dry skin after coming back from holiday so I can 100% confirm the scrub's effectiveness - I saw it working.

To sum up - this scrub smells gorgeous, looks amazing, feels brilliant and works perfectly.

Of course, the ingredients list is immaculate:

Maris sal (sea salt - cornish sea salt, and dead sea salt), Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter)*, Cocos nuciferas oil (Coconut oil)*, Olea Europaea fruit oil (Olive oil)*, Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil (Eucalyptus essential oil)*, Melaluca alternifolia leaf oil (Tea Tree essential oil)*, Rosmarinus officinalis flower oil (Rosemary essential oil)*, Mentha piperita oil (Peppermint essential oil)*,  *Organic ingredient.  Contains Limonene, Linalool - natural components of essential oils.

The scrub can be purchased here at £18 for a large tub.

I'll be honest - it was the price that initially stopped me from rushing out and buying it myself but now I've tried it and also seen how a little goes a long way I would certainly re-purchase and recommend. I have been using this once or twice a week since coming home from my holiday (5 weeks ago) and I am not even half way through it.

I will be buying this again soon, next time in one of the other blends of either Relax or Revive.

Have you tried this scrub? Are there any others you'd recommend?
