Weleda Baby Derma Range

October 22, 2014

I'm sure you are all familiar with Weleda, a very interesting and exciting brand that have a firm place in the heart of green bloggers and consumers a like.

I was excited to be asked if I'd like to try out part of their new Baby Derma range. Although my 'baby' is now at school I still like to very carefully consider what I use on her beautiful and sensitive skin.

I also have very sensitive skin myself, so I thought I would be a good tester! If I don't keep them properly moisturised my legs get all itchy and dry... TMI??

I was happy to see that this 95% organic, 200ml lotion is very reasonably priced at £11.95.

"Weleda, the original natural baby care range, has introduced a new Baby Derma line which has been five years in the making. Developed in direct response to requests from both parents and professionals such as midwives, paediatricians and dermatologists for entirely fragrance-free and genuinely all-natural products – also free from synthetic preservatives - this range is made with carefully chosen active ingredients that are dermatologically-proven to help relieve the itching and irritation of baby eczema. This baby skincare collection is specially formulated for babies with hyper-sensitive and dry skin prone to irritation, eczema and sensitivities and is designed to nourish, soothe and smooth."

As promised this does not have a fragrance or smell to it, it doesn't contain any synthetic perfumes or essential oils, it just smells clean and fresh. It applies really smoothly and soaks in quickly - excellent if you have a wriggly baby that you need to get dressed quickly after a bath.

I can use this with confidence on Maddie's skin and my own, it is a pleasure to use and seems very effective. If either you or your little one have sensitive skin then you may want to give this a try. Available at larger boots, lots of great independent health stores, a number of online stockists or direct from Weleda here.

  2. Does this range have alcohol in it? I bought one of the body washes the other day. Loved everything but unfortunately it has alcohol in it (something I'm not super, super against, but I try to avoid if possible). Thanks for another great post Rach x
