I was very happy to be offered a chance to try a couple of products from the new and exciting brand Skinlix.

Still riding high on the wave of winning two 'Green Hero Awards' after just two months of trading! Not only that but they are nominated at the European Business Awards too!

I was sent the Ylang Ylang & Bergamot Organic Body Scrub* and Organic Gentle Face Scrub with Poppy Seeds* both retail at £13 in the full size versions.

I was delighted when these gorgeous little samples came through. I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, it's very shallow of me to do so but I love cute packaging, especially when so much care and attention has been extended to the miniature or sample sized products.

First I tried the body scrub. I used the whole jar in one go as I used it all over but I think I could of made it stretch to two uses if I'd only used it on my legs.

I enjoyed both the smell and the texture of the scrub. I found it to be very effective and it had that satisfying 'scrubby' feeling that I prefer. A full size jar if £13 for 120g which I think is very reasonable and I would certainly purchase it, either for myself or as a gift. (Head over to the website to see the cute packaging of the full size scrub).

Organic sugar (Sucrose),  Organic virgin Argan oil (Argania spinosa), Vegetal glycerin (Glycerin), Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Pure bergamot essential oil (Citrus  Bergamia), Pure ylang Ylang Essential oil (Cananga Odorata Genuina), Benzyl Salicylate*, Benzyl benzoate*, Farnesol*, Linalool*, Citral*, Limonene*. (*naturally occurs in essential oils)

I was REALLY excited to try out the poppy facial scrub. It claims to be effective yet gentle enough for daily use. Again, the packaging is adorable and I got lots of uses out of this small bottle (maybe 5 or 6).

I love the texture of this, it is really rich so you can skip moisturising afterwards if you want to (well, I can as I have naturally oily skin). I alternated between using just this followed by nothing else or the scrub followed by a second cleanse (with honey or a cleanser) then the rest of my normal facial routine.

Again, this is a really lovely product to use. My only slight 'downside' to it as I took a little while to get used to the smell, it's not offensive in the slightest it is just not my usual preference. It was no where near enough to reduce my enjoyment of using it and, of course, smell is such a personal thing so you may love it!

Organic vegetable glycerin (Glycerin), Organic virgin Argan Oil (Argania Spinosa), Poppy seeds (Papaver Somniferum), Pure bergamot  essential oil (Citrus Bergamia, Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Benzyl Salicylate*, Benzyl benzoate*, Farnesol*, Linalool*, Citral*, Limonene* (*naturally occurs in essential oils)

You really should head over to the Skinlix website and have a look through her products.

Everything about this brand speaks to me and my ethos as a consumer and natural beauty lover. There are no unnecessary, added ingredients, preservatives or water. As much as possible is organic and it is all hand made. The packaging is adorable plus most (or maybe all?) jars and labels are recycled and recyclable, it's the small details that make a big difference.
