Balmology Discovery Set

December 15, 2014

The wonderful Sarah of Sugarpuffish is a font of knowledge when it comes to plenty of things, for example: INCI regulations, ingredients to avoid, which is the best dairy free ice cream and, most importantly, which natural brands deserve your attention... and your money!

When she told me that Balmology were on board to be included in the Green Beauty Meet Up goody bag I could sense her excitement and it was contagious! I couldn't wait to try out this exciting brand for myself.

Balmology have recently added this 'Discovery Set' to their website as a trial set or an ideal gift set. The pack includes three wonderful balms - Cleanse, Nourish and Comfort.

I don't have too much need for the 'Comfort' balm as I am lucky enough not to suffer from much dryness or itching as long as I keep my legs well moisturised. Having said that you can tell that the comfort balm would be really perfect for it's intended purpose.

Comforting blend of plant oils renowned for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic and skin tissue regeneration properties."

The Nourish Balm is a really luxurious beauty balm. Beauty balms are getting a lot of attention at the moment and rightly so. They are multi use products and I really couldn't be without one. I would compare this one to the One Love Organics Skin Saviour balm as it has the same rich, ultra moisturising texture and effect.

Intensive moisturising balm blended from vitamin rich and highly penetrating oils – improves facial skin texture and hydration."

Finally, on to my favourite - The Cleansing Balm. I really love using a balm to cleanse and to remove my make up. Your skin is left very clean yet not stripped, the Balmology balm does this very well. The scent is delicious, the texture is divine and it is a very effective product.

Luxurious aromatic hot cloth cleanser melts away all traces of dirt and make-up to reveal a radiant, refined and balanced complexion."

This Discovery Set is only £15 for three 12g pots in very luxurious packaging, excellent value for money in my opinion.

Personally I wouldn't buy the Comfort balm in full size as I have no need for it, my skin isn't dry or itchy. I would, however, consider the Nourish balm as my next moisturising beauty balm when my OLO Skin Saviour balm runs out.

I can say with near 100% certainty that I will be buying the Cleanse balm in full size. I will do a full post soon comparing the different cleansing balms I have used in more detail but, in short, it is the best balm for the most reasonable price.

Have you tried anything from Balmology yet? What do you think of this set? I'd be very happy to find this in my stocking!

  1. ooh I'm blushing with that fancy intro lol :D Really pleased to hear you are enjoying the Nourish & Cleanse balms, I've now got my Sister hooked on them. Comfort balm is my little pot of magic but I'm the perfect candidate for that one so I understand why you don't as much of a need for it x

  2. I love the Cleanse balm! Almost run out and will need to buy myself full size! Actually...going to put it on my birthday wishlist :D x

  3. Ooh, these look fab. Think I'll give them a try soon! :)

  4. They really are gorgeous, super luxurious but not overly pricey... I'm sure you'd enjoy them when you do try them :-) x

  5. I defo, defo want the full size! Trying not to over buy at the moment so waiting till I've used up all my samples before purchasing. xx

  6. It's the least you deserve Sarah! Since writing this I've actually had a small catastrophe with my underarms and had to go full scale recovery mode and the Comfort balm has worked wonders! I'm impressed. Rach xx
