Viridian - Natural Supplements

December 03, 2014

"Welcome to the leading brand of ethical vitamins"

I am often asked what supplements I use or recommend. This used to be difficult for me as I had not used any - I didn't like the idea of supplements as they didn't seem very 'natural' to me, it seemed very artificial.

Then I discovered Viridian through Jen and our blogger goody bag... and I'm so glad I did.

The first thing has impressed me about these products is actually the company and their ethics. A quick glance at the packaging and you can clearly see their ethical mission proudly displayed on their labels. You can quickly and easily see that a charitable donation has been made thanks to your purchase and

"The Vitamin company with an organic heart"

I tried their Beauty Complex* tablets, a 100% Organic Beauty Oil* and a Qi-Ribose* powder. All their products are very pure and high quality, they are mostly vegetarian and vegan and all very ethically produced.

I found the tablets the easiest to incorporate into my daily routine, I would take two every morning and the jar lasted me just over two weeks. At £9.85 for a 30 capsule jar this is a slightly pricey way to get your vitamins - but which supplements are cheap?? For me, I feel like I have a healthy, varied diet so I would probably only take one tablet a day as an extra boost. This would mean the jar would last a month, I think that makes the price very, very reasonable and something I would consider.

The Oil was also very easy to consume. I added it to my morning smoothies and didn't notice any change at all to the flavour or texture - I only added a tea spoon so you may notice a difference if you add more.

I also found it nice on salads, it has a full bodied flavour and a consistency similar to a thick olive oil.

There are so many great ingredients in this organic oil and at £9.85 for a 200ml bottle I think that is a bargain, in all honesty! I have been using this oil daily for about a month and I am less than half way through the bottle, that makes good consumer sense in my opinion!

This vegan powder, Qi-Ribose, is energy packed and potent. Viridian recommend that you stir 1 heaped tea spoon of this powder into your juice or water, once or twice a day. I tried this out for a week, using it once a day. I didn't particularly enjoy the flavour when mixed with water but it wasn't overly offensive and it was barely noticeable when mixed into a juice.

I did find that this pepped me up a bit. I was drinking it mid morning when my energy levels seem to naturally slump and when I used to reach for my first cup of tea for a caffeine hit. I have been really busy and tired recently thanks to a new job and being a single, house proud mum! I can't seem to let anything slip and I need to keep going - this is where the energy boost from this helped rather than reaching for a sugary, caffeinated drink.

This 180g jar will last a long time but it will set you back £24.95. It's up to you how much you think you'd benefit from this powder, personally I'm not sure I will re-purchase when it runs out but I have enjoyed the benefits and effects whilst using it.

I am really impressed with every thing I have tried, I love the high quality feel of the packaging and the products seem to live up to their claims as far as I can tell.

There are lots of other great items on the Viridian website, click here to look through their range of over 180 products including supplements, oils and herbs. I have my eye on their Organic, raw and virgin coconut oil next... along with a few other supplements!

Have you tried anything by Viridian? What did you think?

  1. I've used their Joint Complex to help me deal with my knee problems. This has all the anti-inflammatory ingredients you need for this kind of problems plus Glucosamine as well which is suppose to help with damaged cartilage which I have. I like the quality of the product, but I ran out of the bottle (I had 90-capsule bottle) so I need to order some more really. It is a bit pricey but I think it's worth it for the quality you get.
