My Current Skin Care Routine

January 24, 2015

It's time to share my skin care routine again!

My blemish prone skin the clearest it's ever been and I've not changed what I use for a good few weeks now! Ha ha!

In the shower I wash my face with honey - I find the moisturising effect leaves my skin so soft and supple plus the anti-bacterial benefits of honey help to keep my skin clear.

I use whichever toner I have to hand, my current favourite is the Oh! Organics Melissa Toner but quite often I use plain, organic Rose Water or an ACV Green Tea DIY toner.

I moisturise using a light oil - either plain Olive Squalane oil (very inexpensive from The All Natural Face) or a Suti facial oil, I've been really enjoying trying out their trial sets and both of their facial oils are beautifully light but very moisturising.

To take my make up off I use a cleansing balm, more information in this post here.

After I tone again using whatever suits my skin at the time.

Before bed I like to moisturise with something heavy and rich, this is when I reach for another balm or a 'heavy' oil. At the moment I am using my One Love Organics Skin Saviour Balm.

Facial treatments - if my skin is going along nicely on it's own then I don't tempt fate with any treatments. If I am breaking out or lacking colour, etc then I whip up a suitable DIY.

Spot treatments - I swear by Indie Lee's two spot treatments. The Blemish Stick and the Blemish Lotion are both life savers. Expensive but essential to me. More detail here.

What does your skin care routine look like? Do you do anything similar?

  1. It's so nice to see so many other bloggers using raw honey on their skin, isn't it fab? X

  2. I can't imagine not using it! I have been using it for well over a year... probably over 18 months! No other 'product' has kept me loyal for that long ;-)
    Rach xx

  3. Lovely lot of products! I need both the Indie Lee spot treatments in my life right now haha x

  4. oh yeah, you do!!! lol! They are SO good. Painfully expensive but super effective :-) xx
