Recent Empties

January 28, 2015

I only just did an empties post the other day, well... it feels like that anyway! I never normally use things up very quickly but it seems a lot of things all ended at the same time.

Here's a run down of what I've used and what I thought:

Child's Farm
Shampoo & Conditioner

I mention these in pretty much every empties post, I love how well they work and the price tag. I get mine from Sophia's Choice (click on the add to the right!)

Odylique
Gentle Herb Shampoo

I wanted to try this out because Sarah Sugarpuffish swears by it. I thought it was very effective, lovely to use and it is something I would buy again if it was on offer but just not at full price... it is great but nothing life changing for my hair personally so I'm not rushing to splurge on it.

Aloe Pura
Aloe Vera Gel

I use this in my hair to keep frizz at bay, plus numerous other DIYs. I will certainly be buying it again when I'm near the right shop.

Wiltshire Honey

This local honey is my 'fail safe' honey that I use to cleanse my face. I love the smell, texture and effect of this plus I am supporting a small, local bee keeper. This is normally an instant re-purchase but I was swayed by some lovely looking Spanish honey!

Bloom Remedies
Restore - Cornish Sea Salt Body Scrub

I really love this, full review here. I have another scrub on the go at the moment but I think I will be back to Bloom when that one runs out. I am trying to be mindful of how many products and 'back ups' I have!

Lyonsleaf
Body Butter

This is SUCH a winner for me. I am currently working my way through my huge stash of other body butters and oils but this will certainly be a re-purchase in the future.

Jack n' Jill
Natural Toothpaste - Blueberry

Maddie loves this toothpaste brand in general and she loved this flavour. I've already re-purchased in the banana flavour.

SAMPLES

Rahua
Conditioner

This was given to me by the lovely Hephzibah of Good For Me, Good For you when we were at the Green Beauty Meet Up in October. I love using this and will certainly buy more of these travel sizes when I'm feeling flush!

Suti
Nourish Face Oil

This is a heavenly oil, I've loved this as much as I've loved everything I've tried from Suti. Again, I am working through a stash but this is strong contender as much next facial oil purchase in full size.

One Love Organics
Morning Glory Serum & Love Springs Eternal Serum

I really like both of these. They absorb quickly and easily, leaving my skin nourished and glowing. I would love these in full size but they aint cheap!

John Master's Organics
Various Shampoos & Conditioners

I tried out lots of these samples because I wanted to buy some in full size. Shallow as this may sound, my mood and outlook on the day can be effected by my hair! If it looks and feels great... then so do I. I've used these samples before and really enjoyed them but dismissed the idea of buying them because of the price (upwards of £16 a bottle).
I chose to buy Evening Primrose Shampoo (for dry hair) and the Citrus & Neroli Detangler as I thought they worked best for me. I'll only use them once a week to make them last as long as possible!

What do you think of these products? I've loved everything I've been using recently!

  3. I also just tried out the Odylique shampoo because it's a Sugarpuffish favorite but found it didn't work well for my hair. I need to find another Sugarpuffish fan in San Francisco to pass this along to or give to a friend.

Odylique have some great products and quite a few you can buy in sample sizes to try first :-)

  6. Oh no! That's frustrating. Did you try leaving it on for a few minutes like a conditioner? I find it works much better that way... but I'm still not overly keen.
